Summer Smiles (5-6 years old)
Take a walk on the wild side as we explore fun science topics! Investigate the world of frogs, dinosaurs, butterflies, and more. Take a close-up look at butterfly wings, take apart owl pellets, make ooey, gooey slime, and much more!

Science Sizzles (5-6 years old)
Science is the hot topic this summer! Investigate a rainbow of colors, make your own pizza, and study squirmy earthworms. Explore plants from the garden to your plate in an investigation of health and good nutrition.

Ultimate Exploration (7-10 years old)
Try out some real-world science as you make a rubber ball, investigate fingerprints and mystery substances, and use electrical kits to light bulbs, ring buzzers, spin fan blades, and play music. We’ll also focus on Animal Grossology, the less polite side of our furry and not so furry friends.

Project Discovery (7-10 years old)
Enjoy a series of challenge-based activities, such as building a wind-powered car, dropping an egg without breaking it, and constructing a catapult. We’ll also investigate the secrets of dinosaurs, and take a close look at the planet we live on, starting with a grain of sand.

Digital Comics and Stories (7 - 9 years old) ~ NEW!
Learn the more artistic side of computers during this elementary program using Power Point and cut-and-paste creative software. Campers must know basic keyboarding skills and mouse use and be prepared to learn how to photograph and download images, write storyboards, and work cooperatively with others.

Robotics (10-13 years old)
Work in teams to build a robot and make it move using Lego Mindstorms Robolab system. Use your knowledge and skills to program your robot by remote control. Teach your robot to react to its environment with sensors, motors, and your own programming logic. (Campers will take home an electronic vehicle to build at home.)

Game Masters- Video Game Design (11-13 years old)
Everyone knows how to play a video game, but not everyone can design a video game! Learn how to imagine, plan, design, and create your own 2-D computer game using Game Maker software. Campers take home a CD with the trial version of the Game Maker software to continue their game-making skills after camp is over!

Animal Safari (10-13 years old) ~ NEW!
Join us as we trek across Southern California on this journey of life science. Begin the week at Discovery Science Center with a close-up look at the grosser aspects of animals in our Animal Grossology exhibition. Visit live sharks at the Aquarium of the Pacific, killer whales at Sea World, and rhinos at the Wild Animal Park! Finish the week with a kayak tour of the Upper Newport Bay. Enjoy the comfort of a travel coach loaded with all of the extras, such as videos, restroom, and snacks. All travel and admission costs are included in the camp fee.

Rockets and Roll (10-13 years old) ~ NEW!
Ready for thrills, chills, and rockets? Travel with us as we explore the physics of roller coasters at Disneyland’s California Adventure and at Knott’s Berry Farm. Investigate the watershed and water slides at Wild Rivers Water Park. Build and launch water & air-powered rockets. And make tabletop exhibits that are model versions of Discovery Science Center favorites. Enjoy the comfort of a travel coach loaded with all of the extras, such as videos, restroom, and snacks. All travel and admission costs are included in the camp fee.
